Founded in 2007, Make It Cheaper helps Britain’s small businesses get fairer rates for their energy, insurance, telecoms and merchant services.

The Think Tank was tasked with raising awareness of Make It Cheaper’s services among SMEs in Leicester, with a view to extending the campaign nationwide.

We created a media neutral idea, based around the line ‘Sorry, we just make great savings for businesses’, using the comical conceit of a gorilla on the rampage.

Using eye-catching cartoon visuals, we used this idea across a range of media, including a wraparound print advert which appeared in the Leicester Mercury and a personalised direct mail piece sent to SMEs in the city.
